What’s not to like about Katy Perry’s doppelganger? Not only is she a talented actress (500 Days of Summer, Elf, Yes Man), but she’s also an indie rockstar (her band, She & Him pairs her with the talented artist M. Ward), and is married to Death Cab for Cutie’s Ben Gibbard. How can you not heart that?

Hate:

This may be an entirely subjective statement, but Zooey Deschanel has some crazy eyes. I think there’s a reason that she plays some sort of slightly psychotic girlfriend in every movie she acts in. Plus, what’s she doing as the spokesperson for Cotton?

What’s better than a mafia game where you can compete with, rob and fight others while building a bank of business and becoming a renowned felon? A mafia game that’s free and allows you to fight your real friends over Facebook. That’s why I <3 Mafia Wars.

What’s worse than getting a notification from your best friend EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. because of their Mafia Wars account and their need to announce their meaningless achievements? Five hundred of your friends ALL sending you a notification EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. That’s why I hate Mafia Wars.

Vampires. Romance. What else do you need? Twilight is a captivating story that has been adapted for the silver screen and has received critical acclaim and financial success. And Edward? He’s just dreamy. I <3 Twilight.

Hate:

Emo teenage vampires – wasn’t this called Buffy The Vampire Slayer? And done with more panache and humor about 20 years ago? It’s a played out premise, and it’s more or less the poor man’s Harry Potter. I hate Twilight.

OMG! Lost is one of the most beloved shows on right now, and it’s both entertaining and interesting to watch. Very few shows keep you guessing and keep you on the edge of your seat throughout the entirety of their airtime. Lost is one of those few shows, and that’s why I heart Lost.

Hate:

WTF? Are you ridiculously confused with Lost? Join the club. Even if you watch it every week, you probably don’t have any clue as to what’s actually going on. And if you don’t watch the show, you’ve probably had it with your friends quoting “Locke” and “Sawyer” ad nauseum. I know I am. That’s why I hate Lost.

What’s not to love about WoW? It’s one of the most addictive and engaging video games ever created. It is also hands-down the most popular singular title ever. The only people who don’t heart World of Warcraft are those who haven’t played it yet, or worse, girlfriends of those who have been sucked in.

Hate:

Let’s be honest. World of Warcraft is an addition. Some call it Warcrack. The kind folks at Blizzard decided while they were busy stealing countless hours of your day, they’d work as hard as possible to steal your soul as well. Well congratulations, Blizzard. You’ve succeeded. The only thing harder to kick than a WoW addiction is… nothing, actually. Nothing is harder. Damn you, WoW.
